The Hughes & Kettner Tube Factor* is popular with many guitarists for its good boost sounds.
Unfortunately, setting the right balance between Factor 1 and 2 is often impossible. If, for example, Factor 1 is set
for a clean boost, Factor 2 is usually far too loud because it can’t be adjusted separately.
With the Super Tube Factor Mod, OKKO addresses this problem by installing individual volume
controls for both channels. We also use a gain switch for Factor 1 to make the Tube Factor
even more usable and versatile. The "F1 Gain" switch has three positions:

1: Gain boost for F1. The green channel runs much hotter now and you can set the
two channels to crunch/lead, dual crunch, dual lead...

2: Gain reduction for F1. The green channel stays clean (or almost clean,
depending on your pickups), even if you set the red channel to a full-on lead sound.

3: No change (unmodified).

The basic sound of your TF remains untouched after this mod.
The new controls do, however, open up countless new possibilities.
For those who find Factor 2 bit muffled and muddy, a voicing change
(brighter, more transparent) is available free of charge.
